IMAGES GUIDE
GET YOUR LIGHTING RIGHT
If there is one deciding factor that defines the quality of your images, it’s light. Lighting can be very tedious to set up, but when done right, it brings beautiful results and significantly improves your product visuals.
INCORRECT:
Dark Images
When light is scarce, the camera often tries to compensate for this by increasing exposure, which can lead to blurred and grainy photos.
In a dark image buyers will not be able to fully see your product. They may also not notice product important features and appreciate them.
Overexposed images
It is also really difficult to see the product in the overexposed images, because they are too bright, and all the details in the brightest areas are lost. This can easily mislead buyers.
CORRECT:
Use clear, bright images of a product with plenty of light to attract buyers.
To avoid dark and overexposed photos, adjust aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings. Shoot products near the window and try using the reflector to focus more light on the product and eliminate shadows. However, you have to block harsh direct light, otherwise the photos will be overexposed.
