Here are some guidelines for Products First Main Image on your BtoTree Business Page (Brand Page).
1. DO NOT USE WHITE BACKGROUND FOR YOUR FIRST IMAGE
Your First Main Image is what the buyers see when browsing. It is the first visual of your product on the Business Page (Brand Page).
Using a handful of photo backgrounds that complement each other can help create a unified look for your products. All the backgrounds don’t have to be the same, a little variety can be nice but they should play well together. For example, Placing your product in a natural habitat gives a good background to your Main Images.
2. DO NOT USE ANY BLURRED IMAGES FOR YOUR PRODUCTS
Blurred images often come out as unprofessional to buyers getting uncertain about the quality of the item they’re considering. It is important to show your product in action and in-focus.
The product should be shown clearly in action in the images so that the buyers can see how it might be used.
3. DO NOT USE ANY WATERMARKED IMAGES
Do not promote your business on your Product Images. The images should not have any watermarks or logos of your business.
Use an image that shows your product clearly without any text on it.
4. USE SCALE SHOTS FOR YOUR PRODUCTS
A scale shot visually communicates the size of your product. Buyers can’t try your items, so it’s important to give them all the details they need visually. For example, Users can know what an enamel pin looks like on a real lapel, if that knit hat fits an infant or an adult, or if that vase holds one bloom or a whole bouquet.
Scale shots introduce a second item into the photograph that helps user get a better sense of your product’s size and dimensions.
5. GET YOUR LIGHTING RIGHT
If there is one deciding factor that defines the quality of your images, it’s light. Lighting can be very tedious to set up, but when done right, it brings beautiful results and significantly improves your product visuals.
6. TAKE MULTIPLE SHOTS FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES
Taking multiple shots from a variety of angles will show your buyers exactly what your product looks like.
You can upload up to 12 images. Upload different images with your products captured at different angles.
7. USE LIFESTYLE SHOTS FOR YOUR PRODUCTS
A lifestyle shot helps buyers imagine what their lives would be like if they owned your product. This aspirational style of the photo creates a scene illustrating the product being used helping your product get more noticed.
