DO’S AND DON’TS FOR YOUR MAIN IMAGES

Here are some guidelines for Products First Main Image on your BtoTree Business Page (Brand Page).

1. DO NOT USE WHITE BACKGROUND FOR YOUR FIRST IMAGE

Your First Main Image is what the buyers see when browsing. It is the first visual of your product on the Business Page (Brand Page).

Using a handful of photo backgrounds that complement each other can help create a unified look for your products. All the backgrounds don’t have to be the same, a little variety can be nice but they should play well together. For example, Placing your product in a natural habitat gives a good background to your Main Images.






 

2. DO NOT USE ANY BLURRED IMAGES FOR YOUR PRODUCTS

Blurred images often come out as unprofessional to buyers getting uncertain about the quality of the item they’re considering. It is important to show your product in action and in-focus.

The product should be shown clearly in action in the images so that the buyers can see how it might be used.






 

3. DO NOT USE ANY WATERMARKED IMAGES

Do not promote your business on your Product Images. The images should not have any watermarks or logos of your business.

4. USE SCALE SHOTS FOR YOUR PRODUCTS

A scale shot visually communicates the size of your product. Buyers can’t try your items, so it’s important to give them all the details they need visually.  For example, Users can know what an enamel pin looks like on a real lapel, if that knit hat fits an infant or an adult, or if that vase holds one bloom or a whole bouquet.

5. GET YOUR LIGHTING RIGHT
